Red Chard

Red Chard

The cut red chard has an erect posture with fleshy, semi-bullous leaves of bright green color with characteristic ribs and red ribs.

Much appreciated for the high content of antioxidants that give it the color that distinguishes it.

When the chard is ready, the leaves are harvested, cutting them just above the ground level.
The leaves are used, including the ribs, which should be eaten boiled and seasoned with oil and salt.
