Papaya

Mango – common name of the tropical plant Mangifera indica, and its fruit. It is a tree belonging to the Anacardiaceae family, originally from India and cultivated in all tropical areas.

The fruits of the papaya plant can be oval or rounded, others with a more elongated shape similar to that of a large pear.

The unripe fruit is hard, green in color and rich in white latex but, compared to the ripe one, it is very rich in enzymes such as cysteine proteinase, an enzyme that our body uses in the digestion of proteins, in addition to chymopapaine and papialisozima, enzymes that serve also to the fruit as a defense against pests during the ripening process.
